Join us for Phase 2 of our Bioconstruction Workshop series.

With Habitat Recovery Project, we are creating a hexagonal Sanctum as a spiritual beacon. This project brings together folks from near and far to learn to construct with nontoxic materials. In Phase 1, we used many bioconstruction techniques: cordwood, cob, light clay straw, Bousillage (a Louisiana regional cob method), bottle-bricks, roundwood framing, natural plasters. We had additional education sessions on chainsaw safety and felling trees. We held classroom sessions with special guests about environmental racism, local indigenous history, and construction sites culture.

During this time frame, we we will doing

  • Building envelope education

Bioconstruction is a sustainable building method that uses natural materials & techniques to minimize a building’s environmental impact.

Join us for a very special two weeks as we come together to learn & honor Indigenous natural building techniques on a 24-acre 68 animal Farm & Nature Sanctuary in Southwestern Louisiana.

This workshop is priced on a sliding scale in daily increments: come for a weekend, or the whole two weeks. Two meals a day and a campsite provided with reservation. Optional upgraded accommodations are available, as well. For more information, check out our form at bit.ly/HRPHOMB
